Tuesday, 8/4
Books Inc book signing featuring Jane Angelich who will sign, speak, and field questions about her new book, “What's a Mother (in-Law) to Do? 5 Essential Steps to Building a Loving Relationship with Your Son's New Wife.
Jane is a member of the Board of MarketingZone, a business-to-business web-based company headquartered in Portland, Oregon. She is the mother of two sons, ages 33 and 26 and a newly minted grandmother. This second book, What’s a Mother (In-Law) to Do? 5 Essential Steps to Building a Loving Relationship with Your Son’s New Wife, was released by Simon & Schuster in June 2009, www.inlawexpert.com. She is also the In-Law Relationship columnist for San Francisco Examiner.com.

Books Inc. will donate 20% of all sales to Girls Inc. between the hours of 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM during this evenings event (even phone orders).

You have two fantastic chances to meet Lynn Jimenez W21CC member; award winning journalist, host of KGO radio's "Your Money", and author the popular book "Se Habla Dinero: The Everyday Guide to Financial Success"

Thursday, 8/6

The first opportunity is this Thursday 8/6 at Books Inc. on Park Street in Alameda. Lynn will talk about her book "Se Habla Dinero: The Everyday Guide to Financial Success"; answer questions from the audience; and sign books after the event. Books Inc. will donate 20% of the sales between the hours of 6pm and 9pm (even if you phone in your order) to Girls Inc. of the Island City. Lynn will speak at 7pm.

The event is FREE. Please invite your colleagues, neighbors and friends to meet Lynn and shop at Books Inc.!

Monday, 8/10
The second opportunity is on Monday 8/10 when she'll present to the community an important program for families of Middle and High school children:

Investing in your Child’s Future: Affording College
Program Description:
Not sure you can cover the costs of a college education for your children? Find out how you can.
Paying college tuition is a stretch for nearly every family’s budget. But there is help available and there are ways you can make sure your children get what they need to survive in a competitive global economy. Lynn Jimenez will explain what you need to do in the long and short term to cover college costs. She’ll demonstrate how you can squeeze a little more out of what you have to pay for education, how to make your savings grow, and how to find financial help when your dollars aren’t enough. From savings to loans to scholarships to work study, Lynn will lay it out to help you give your child the opportunity s/he deserves.

The program is FREE.
